Interesting aviation history from Hawaii

I had a post up with a pic or two of a P-82, the twin Mustang.
here are pix of "Betty Jo"
The Betty Jo took off from Hickam Field on the island of Oahu, on February 27, 1947 and flew some 5,000 miles to Laguardia in New York City non-stop and with no air-to-air fueling in 14 hours and 33 minutes.

Here it is in it's hanger at Hickam field

right now it's sitting in The National Museum of the United States Air Force, in Dayton, Ohio.
one of 5 P-82's still in existance.
